This paper offers an interpretation of Teodor Parnicki’s novel “Zabij Kleopatrę” (1968) in which the meta-literary level is gradually constructed owing to the extensive use of metaphorical expressions, which supports a post-secular reading. Owing to this operation, Parnicki’s novel is considered a breakthrough in his literary works.
