This paper examines both the structure and motivations of blending on the basis of the analysis of a corpus containing 80 (mainly overlapping)blends retrieved from the field of videogaming. In particular, the author studies that the motivation for constructing blends in videogaming seems to be conditioned by economic reasons since such overlapping instances of blends constitute a key feature of the game which can awake the interest of a potential buyer.
