Analyzing the pervasiveness of the metaphorical basis in view of physiology and psychology, the inevitability of metaphorical language is expounded and proved. Metaphor, whose semantic features facilitate human cognition of the world, is the indispensable means of human cognition. The essence of metaphor is none other than the metaphorized human thinking, which results in the metaphoricity of human language.
