This paper presents a conceptual metaphor description in the control-over-person sphere. The analysis involves a conceptual domain featuring as the formulation of manipulation metaphor correspondences, regarded as the basic concept from the experience point of view. The existence of other metaphorical concepts and their relationship within the conceptual sphere of control is also discussed. Linguistic data in the work correspond to Chilean Spanish and are a guide for an approach to the community's daily language from a cognitive perspective.
