Abstract

A feature article about the Cuban-American ceramic sculptor Ovidio Giberga, whose figurative work explores issues of identity within Cuban and Hispanic culture. The author discusses some recent pieces in which the thread becomes a metaphor for time and place and Giberga's use of a stirrup spout, an ancient Peruvian vessel, to conclude his sculptures.
