The present book attempts to show how machine translation of on-line searches in Japanese databases can help Westerners gain valuable information on anything they want to know about Japanese industry, research, the usage of databases in Japan, and the drawbacks of using the foregin language translations which the Japanese themselves provides. Other topics discussed are the problems MT faces in general and with Japanese in particular.
