Abstract

In this collective volume several Dutch and Belgian specialists discuss various aspects of the reception of foreign literature by means of Dutch translations and adaptations. The periods discussed range from the 18th to the 20th century, among the source languages are English, French, Danish, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, and the genres included are narrative prose, poetry and theatre.
