Abstract
This article concentrates on some aspects of three main types of legislative genres used with respect to the Czech law regulating arbitration procedures. The transcripts of parliamentary debates are used to analyse the development in expressing some ideas and formulating them into the provisions of law. Relations of the Czech Arbitration Act with the UNICITRAl Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration 1985 are also discussed.
