Abstract
The aim of this paper is twofold: on the one hand, the structure and contents of the law reform and the Scottish arbitration code (SAC) are presented and discussed in relation to their (lack of) correspondence with the UNICITRAL Model Law. On the other, materials presenting the SAC to sectors of the public with varying degrees of legal knowledge and expertise are examined, so that instances of more economic (or more redundant) and less specialized linguistic usage may be taken into consideration.
