Abstract

In this book the history, development, state and basic problems of translation studies are discussed. The first four chapters provides an overall view of translation studies and discusses practical aspects of the translation profession and translation didactics. The next four chapters focus on the translation process, translatability, translation problems, equivalence and translation assessment.
