The present article compares groups of conjugated verbs in two medical texts translated from Spanish into English. The objective is to determine the level where both profiles differ from each other. The profiles of the translated texts are then compared to the results of the study of scientific texts from the ESP (English for Specifici Purposes) angle. The article examines the reasons for the translation process undergoing modifications. The comparative analysis could be useful for evaluating the quality of translations in a specific discourse.
