The second phase of the study was dedicated to an analysis of the practice and the role of interpreters and cultural mediators in different consultation settings. During this phase of the investigation, a direct observation of the obtained knowledge and strategies was the highest priority. In this chapter, the author discusses the methodology and context of the investigation, the interventions of interpreters, interpretative models, the role of the interpreter during the consultation, etc.
