Abstract

This work presents the first part of the speeches held at the First national meeting of translators in Lima on 4 October 1984. This work mainly focuses on theoretical and practical problems of translations. Among the topics discussed are theoretical and intercultural aspects of translation, grammar, ideolects, literary translation, the translation of texts related to social sciences and the translation of technical and scientific texts.
