Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse l'Ovide Moralisé, a work deeply rooted in antique myths but also imbued with escathologic Christian didactism, in order to show how the texts in their entirety are the result of various translation options. The author reflects on translation in the Middle Ages, discussing its norms, its tendencies and its close relationship with cultural and literary contexts.
