The present paper on Esperanto translation in Asia discusses the initial success of Esperanto in Europe and its limited spread to Asia, the advantages and forms of Esperanto translation and the achievements and reception of Esperanto translation in three Asian countries, i.e. Japan, China and Vietnam. The author concludes that the centre of Esperanto translation is still in Europe but that the role of Asia is becoming ever more significant.
