In this short contribution the author aims to provide a number of indiciations on the set-up of a research project on Martinus Nijhoff's translation poetics. The author attempts to answer the following questions: how can Nijhoff's poetical opinions explain his translation poetics?; which light does Nijhoff's poetics shed on translation poetics? Before looking into these questions, the author provides a definition of translation poetics and explains a number of translation concepts. [Source: P. Van Mulken]
