In 1992, the ‘most holy book’ of the Bahá’I faith, written originally in Arabic, was published in English. Since then, this English version has been used as the basis for translations in other languages, in many cases these translations have been done from the English with the help of the Arabic original. In this article the author discusses indirect translation as a strategy used by translators.
