Abstract

Advertisements for computers belong to a special genre, where the general rules of translation apply as do some other more specific rules. The present article examines the different styles of computer ads, looks into advertising decisons and the audience of computer ads and discusses translator qualifications and non-linguistic and linguistic issues.
