Abstract

This paper presents two main categories of software programs available to professional US translators in 1986, namely Computer-Assisted Translation and Computer Aids for Translation. A detailled description of each category is followed by an outlin of CAT as a teaching media in the Applied Language Programs at Georgia State University.
