This paper describes the organization and setup of an all-English panel discussion on Austrian TV with simultaneous translation into German involving a total of seven interpreters. A discussion of their assessment of this experiment is presented, including an anlysis of the special features and difficulties involved. A brief description of some of the reactions on the part of the press and the audience is given.
