Abstract

In this article, the author discusses the education system at the economic university of Copenhagen. Court interpreting is one of the obliged subjects in the curriculum of the university. The author enters into some aspects of the interpreting practice and discusses the role of the court interpreter in criminal cases and in civil cases. She then enters into to presentation of interpreting exercises and distinguishes between exercises which reflect practice on the one hand, and easier exercises which are adapted to the teaching context, on the other hand.
