Abstract

In this chapter on the morphological development of the consecutive interpreting code, the author discusses the evolution of the language concept of consecutive interpreting in the 50s, the 60s and 70s, the 80s and the 90s of the previous century. She also discusses the use of signs and symbols in note-taking and gives several examples.
