Abstract

In this article, written in 1981, the author discusses the use of technique, electronics and computers for the translator. The author predicts that computers will play a key role in the wok of translators in the very near future. According to the author the computers can be of threefold importance for the translator: it can be a dictionary, a text processor and an aid or tool for translation. The author describes the three key roles for the translator.
