Abstract
In this article the author discusses the notion of 'Anglicisms', focusing on his own speech community, Denmark. The author looks at the concept of Anglicism, provides a structural classification of Anglicisms, discusses their development and acceptability and looks into their frequency and role. Finally, the author discusses how translation are conveyors of Anglicisms, especially those in the media.
