This edited volume comprises contributions from the first 'High-Level Scientific Conference' on text and translation and interpreting. It documents new approaches to discourse and Translation Studies, relating to the representation and description of text parameters from the translation/interpreting point of view (transitivity, coherence, information structure and isotopy). Special attention is given to new technologies such as discourse pragmatic and text type specific dimensions.
