Abstract
The song repertoire of rock'n'roll group Ostbahn-Kurti mainly consists of Viennese translations of Anglo-American rock'n'roll and rhythm'n'blues songs. The author uses the work of this Austrian rock'n'roll group to discuss translation (conversion) as a means to acculturation.
