Abstract

The subject discussed in this article is part of the comparative study of mentalities. Part of the principle is that there is always extreme adequacy between a mental aspect and it's linguistic expression. The author discusses characteristics of both Old Norse and French, drawing conclusion on the "saga style" and emotion as a creative force.
