Abstract
This article subscribes to the view that notes taken during consecutive interpretation are the expression of a communicative code, and therefore that the teaching of conference interpreting can benefit by the adoption of a structure system of note-taking, based on the application of the descriptive procedures of linguistics to the production, the selection and the organization of signs.
