Abstract
The idea of quality in interpreting is a very complex one; how can one impartially and objectively judge an interpreting performance? The article deals with the role of 'quality' in interpreting and interpreter training. The author discusses the conference interpreting market in Czech Republic and the role of the Institute for Translation Studies of the Charles University in Prague.
