The question posed in La traduction: de la théorie à la pratique et retour is twofold: can the practice of translation dispense with theorization and can it function without any recourse to a conceptualization? The answer is neither simple nor unanimous. Everything depends on the professional practice and on the point of view one adopts. The articles in this edited volume attempt to respond to these questions while underlining the link between theory and practice in highly varied domains: from theater to publishing, through the press and pharmaceutical language.
