Abstract

Within the field of translation, several translation theories and models have been developed. Some of those theories and models seem to be incompatible, with regard to their content and their specialist terminology. This book describes those theories and models and renders their central thoughts. It provides examples and stresses the relations and discrepancies between the theories and models. This way, the reader is able to get an overview of the complex activity of translation.
