This paper highlights the importance of specific studies on technical translation in the framework of the increasing advances on sciences and international communication. The article describes the main blocks in which the degree on technical translation is organised at the University of Hildesheim: language skills, translation strategies, cultural studies, technical modules, applications of computing, applied linguistics, dissertation, work placement and study abroad. Finally, the article considers the labour market of technical translation.
