The Igbo language (the author's mother tongue) could be described today as an 'endangered species.' For this reason, many calls have gone out to all language stakeholders and specialists such as linguists, creative writers, translators, etc. to save the Igbo language from extinction. To this effect, this article intends to contribute towards the generation of an Igbo metalanguage in the area of the computer science through the corpus-based hybrid method.
