Abstract
The author shows how localization is a strategic imperative for small companies no less than for big companies. He shows the techniques in use at MapInfo as well as a comprehensive analysis of the company's decision-making as it refined its localization strategy. Although MapInfo has only 450 employees worldwide, its products are available in 58 countries and 21 languages. The author also provides detailed descriptions of the company's tools and techniques.
