The article presents an interdisciplinary analysis of text-based data with regard to emotional expression from a communicative-cognitive point of view. The analysis shows that a great amount of the emotional dimension of an LSP text is intimately bound up with the complexity of cognition, an outcome which creates new prospects for further communicative-cognitive description of LSP communication and broadens the cognitive dimension of LSP research in general.
