The efforts and output of female translators and female publishers of feminist literature is hardly perceived in public. This paper discusses the social and economic conditions which characterize the production of feminist literature taking into account reports by female translators and publishers which reflect the current situation in the literary sector. The extent to which factors such as financial problems, poor image and missing networks shape the production of gender relevant literature is shown and tendencies which could contribute to changing this situation suggested.
