Abstract

This book aims to provide a model for the description of Bible translation, in connection to one of the most important Catholic Bible translations in the Netherlands,viz. the Petrus Canisius translation. An investigation of the historical context, an evaluation based on the link between the Canisius translation and the source text and the translation’s reception constitute the main elements of the work.
