Abstract

The book contains nine articles which reports on the TRAP ('Translation Process') project at the Copenhagen Business School. In this project the translation process has been approached from different angles and different language combinations. The researchers have used a combination of methods: computer logs created with the Translog program, retrospective and think-aloud protocols. The authors argue for triangulation methods in translation research. The book includes contributions on the use of Translog, on methodology and Danish-Spanish translation, on Spanish-Danish legal translation, 'metaphor phobia', time pressure in translation and the use of dictionaries in Danish-English translation.
