Abstract

The aesthetics of translation can be approached in different ways. One of them could be considered as the literary aesthetics of (translated) literary texts, especially opera librettos. But the main topic of this paper is to focus the Aesthetics of translation on the reception process of the literary and musical message, rather than on its production. Hearing-listening (lecute) is the key concept which is paradoxically the prerequisite for the production of the actual translation. In that perspective, the Aesthetics of translation and their musical premises provide a theoretical paradigm enabling us to consider translation at large and even the whole process of communication.
