Abstract

The article looks at the introduction of the music of Carl Maria von Weber to the Parisian public.The reception of his operas with the translation by Castil-Blaze met different receptions: from a success with Robin des Bois to an unexpected failure with Euryanthe. The article analyses the reasons for the different receptions.
