The work is situated at the crossroads of text linguistics, variety linguistics and contrastive and linguistics. It investigates forms of resumption in spoken French and German. The whole spectrum of pro-forms is considered: ellipses, pronomina, lexical means. Corpora of spoken language serve as data material, supplemented by translation comparisons.
