This book discusses the history and context of literary translations into Finnish. The second volume looks at the translations from a geographical point of view. Finnish translations of Swedish, French, Russian and even Arabic or African literary works are discussed. Except answering the question “what has been translated by whom in what way, and when?”, the book also discusses context elements like the influence of ideology or economics.
