This paper reviews the Brazilian market for translators and interpreters under the following headings: literary translation, technical and sworn translation, translation for the media, website translation and localization, conference interpreting and Brazilian sign language interpreting. Professional associations are also discussed, as is the transition from freelancing to incorporation.
