This article seeks to conduct a linguistic comparative analysis between the American original version and the Spanish dubbing and subtitling of the film Some Like it Hot in order to study the translation problems and mistakes as well as the techniques implemented by the translator and the differences between the three versions. The article is divided into two sections: (1) an analysis of translation problems, mistakes and techniques that appear in the dubbed and subtitled versions in the phonetic, syntactic and semantic level, and (2) an analysis of the cultural differences between the original script and the translated versions.
