Abstract

The paper discusses the problem of culture markers in English and Russian. It is based on a reliable theoretical foundation: the author tackles the problem from the viewpoint of both linguistic relativism and cognitive linguistics. Sample sentences represent legal markers of British and Anglo-American culture/language and their transmissions into Russian culture/language. A linguistic and culture-cognitive analysis results in a legal explication frame of Russian translations.
