Abstract
In this paper, the author intends to discuss that portion of the Ashmole Sir Ferumbras (AF) for which a draft survives. From a comparison of this section of text with its draft and with the text it translates, certain translating, redacting, and broad compositional practices can be identified. Some of the observations on these matters are offered as examples of ME compositional practices in general.
