Abstract
In this article, the author discusses strategies in interpreting. It is based partly on modern linguistic theory, and partly on some empirical studies the author has undertaken at Heidelberg with “think-aloud protocols”. The author then makes some points about the way the theoretical and empirical results can be used in teaching.
