Abstract

This paper embarks upon workshops for interpreter certification programmes and quality assurance. First, the author looks into the situation in California, after which the other states are tackled. The rest of the paper is dedicated to the contents and results of a few interpreter training workshops. Finally, a few future prospects with respect to guaranteeing quality interpreting services in the court are outlined.
