Abstract

Whereas other studies on children as interpreters focus on individual children or children whose linguistic output was elicited by an investigator for purposes of research, this paper describes another extension of the phenomenon, namely the organization of a corps of child interpreters and how they assume real-world community interpreting functions in a sector of their own community, namely their school.
