Abstract
This case study could be an illustration of how and to what extent translations – as one among many manifestations (but certainly a privileged one) of contacts and migrations between Flemish and French within the Belgian state – can give insight into the structuring and development of bilingual, bicultural societies in Belgium. Translations published by Editions Rex in the thirties constitute a special focus.
